National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
April 28, 2018
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. Last year, 912,305 pounds (456 tons) of unwanted and unused prescription medication was collected across the country.
To learn more, visit the DEA’s website or click the image for a list of participating collection sites in Hampshire and Franklin Counties. Although not listed in the flyer, there are permanent drug take back boxes located at the Orange, Ware and Montague police departments that residents can utilize at any time.
