SUMMARY:Survey Launch: Community Partner Survey: Building Knowledge\, Readiness\, and Collaboration Around Sex Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation
DESCRIPTION:We invite your participation to complete the Community Partner Survey: Building Knowledge\, Readiness\, and Collaboration Around Sex Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation. Click here to access the survey. Flyers are also attached for distribution to your networks\, which include the survey link and QR Code. Help us spread the word! \nThis survey is intended to help us better understand partner knowledge\, training needs\, and community readiness related to sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation in rural Franklin County and the North Quabbin region of Western Massachusetts. What you share will help guide a series of virtual trainings and inform a later community asset mapping process. We recognize that these topics are complex and may intersect with domestic violence\, coercive relationships\, family and social networks\, and substance use. Please answer based on your role\, experience\, and perspective. If you are unsure about a question\, respond as best you can. Your input is valued and will help shape future learning and collaboration across the region. Responses will be kept confidential and will be de-identified. \nIf you are outside Franklin County or the North Quabbin region\, we still welcome your response. \nIf you have any questions about completing this survey\, please email us at info@opioidtaskforce.org. \nThank you for your participation! \nSincerely\, \nJen Brzezinski\, Assistant Deputy Superintendent\, Community Programs\, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office\nDebra McLaughlin\, Coordinator\, Opioid Task Force of Franklin County and the North Quabbin Region \nCo-Facilitators\, Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking Prevention Workgroup of Franklin County and the North Quabbin Region

SUMMARY:Overdose and Grieving: How the HALO Initiatives and the NQCC Can Help
DESCRIPTION:Please join us on Thursday\, June 25\, 2026\, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM to learn more about available resources to support those who have lost a loved one to overdose. You can register for this free event here. \nHealing After Loss to Overdose (HALO) Initiatives is a community-focused philanthropic program dedicated to supporting individuals who have lost a loved one to opioid overdose. Through HALO Initiatives\, surviving family members receive support and financial assistance to address both immediate needs and long-term challenges related to health\, healing\, and community connection. By providing direct financial support\, HALO aims to mitigate the intergenerational trauma that impacts families after an overdose death. A recent recipient of a RIZE Massachusetts grant\, the HALO Initiatives is interested in expanding its efforts statewide. \nThe North Quabbin Community Coalition also offers support and grief resources for residents of the North Quabbin Region. They will be able to share what they have done to support loved ones who need both practical and emotional support when someone has died from an overdose. \nThis is part of the Opioid Task Force 2026 Education and Learning Series. For more information\, please email us at info@opioidtaskforce.org.

This session will explore how we can collectively strengthen the personal\, social\, and community assets that support long-term recovery throughout our rural region. \nDuring this session\, we will: \n\nLearn more about the concept of recovery capital and its role in supporting sustained recovery;\nGather feedback from community partners\, individuals with lived experience\, and stakeholders about existing strengths and gaps in our region;\nIdentify opportunities to expand connections\, resources\, and supports that help people build recovery capital; and\nBegin developing priorities and action steps for future collaboration\, including planning for a fall Building Recovery Capital Summit.\n\nYour experience\, perspective\, and partnership are essential to this conversation. Whether you represent a community organization\, service provider\, public agency\, recovery community\, or have lived or living experience\, or are an ally\, we hope you will join us and help shape the next steps.More details are below or available here.
