The Site Coordinator is responsible for providing staff support to the Young Adult Empowerment Collaborative of Western MA (YAEC), a four-county, evidence-based collaboration to transform the systems serving emerging adults, ages 16-24 years old in Berkshire, Franklin/North Quabbin, Hampden, and Hampshire counties to prevent opioid misuse, address the needs of young adults currently addicted to opioids, and improve their health outcomes as they transition into adulthood. This position is funded by the Opioid Affected Youth Initiative, a program of the U.S. Department of Justice/Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (DOJ/OJJDP).
Hours and Compensation
The salary range for the YAEC Site Coordinator position is $50,000 – $60,000 and is a two-year time-limited grant-funded position with the possibility of continued employment subject to additional grant funding. This position is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week state employee with full benefits as outlined by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) is the administrative home of the Opioid Task Force, where all Opioid Task Force employees are part of the FSCO staff.
The YAEC Site Coordinator is supervised by the Opioid Task Force’s Coordinator in their role as Project Director for the U.S. DOJ/OJJDP Opioid Affected Youth Initiative. The YAEC Site Coordinator is also accountable to the YAEC Advisory Council, comprised of members from opioid misuse prevention coalitions in Western Massachusetts.
Location of Employment
This position is located at the Franklin County Justice Center, 43 Hope Street, Greenfield, MA. The Opioid Task Force’s office is located within the Court Service Center on the first floor. This is a shared office space.
